Save an unsent email or SMS and come back to it later.
Not ready to send? Save it as a draft and come back when you are. Drafts work for both email and SMS, and are private to you.
Save a draft
New messages
Hit Compose, write your email or text as usual, and click Save draft. CommSync stores your message and sends nothing.
Replies save themselves
Inside a conversation, just start to type. The reply composer auto-saves as you type — close the thread, close the tab, come back tomorrow, and your reply stays where you left it.
Ask can draft for you
In Ask, type "draft a reply that tells Neil Thursday works" and it writes a reply draft into this same folder. Ask never sends — you review it in the composer and send it yourself.
Your unsent reply lives in the conversation
An unfinished reply belongs where you wrote it, so you will find it there. Open the conversation, and the reply sits at the bottom of the thread, right after the last message:

Continue writing
Click anywhere on the card to pick up exactly where you stopped. The ✕ on the right discards it.
The card appears only when you have not opened the composer. The moment you write in it, the composer becomes your draft. Its header shows the live save state (Saving… → Draft saved), or a warning if a save did not go through.
The Drafts page
Open Drafts at the bottom of the left rail (under Tools). The badge shows how many drafts you have. The page lists everything here too — newest first — so it never loses a draft in a conversation you have since archived or buried.
Two sets of chips filter the list:
Everything / Replies / New messages— whether the draft belongs to a conversation, or stands alone as a message that is new.All / Email / SMS— the channel.
Reply drafts carry an In conversation tag and name the thread they will take you back to.
- Click a new-message draft to reopen it in the composer, exactly as you left it.
- Click a reply draft to jump straight into its conversation with the composer open and your unfinished reply restored.
- Delete a single draft with the trash icon.
- Use Select for a batch delete, or Delete all to empty the folder.
When you reopen a new-message draft, CommSync restores everything: the recipient, from-line, subject, body, and attachments. CommSync keeps the page fast even with thousands of drafts.
One draft per conversation
A conversation holds at most one unsent reply per channel. When you return to the same thread across several sittings, CommSync updates that one draft. It never leaves behind a trail of copies that look the same.
Send a draft
Reopen the draft and hit Send (or schedule it). Once it goes out, CommSync removes the draft automatically — no leftover clutter.
Private to you
Drafts are personal. A teammate never sees your unsent messages, even on lines or mailboxes you share.
Attachments are kept
Files you attach to a draft stay put — CommSync does not sweep them away while it saves the draft. It removes them only if you discard the draft and never send it.
If a save can't get through
Auto-save retries in the background. It tells you plainly when a save has not landed yet, and it does not falsely display "Saved." Your words stay on screen the whole time — a flaky connection delays the save, but it does not lose the writing.
